Harmonica Tuition in Leeds
with Sleepy Kev Bishop

Cameo of Kevin Bishop with a harmonica in his mouth

Learning to play blues harmonica well requires dedication and focus but is extremely rewarding and a lot of fun. I offer one to one blues harmonica tuition sessions for beginning and intermediate players.

I can teach you the skills and techniques you need to be a fully rounded musician in the classic Chicago Blues style of players like Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson, Big Walter Horton and James Cotton.

I can offer specific instruction and support on playing techniques, getting good tone, note bending, tongue blocking, improvisation, soloing, accompaniment playing, music theory and more.

One to one sessions can be arranged in person in the Leeds area or via Skype. Sessions are offered at an affordable hourly rate.

If you'd like to know more please get in touch (email preferred in the first instance).

About Me

I've been playing harmonica and guitar on the grass roots music scene in Leeds for the last decade. I've spent the last few years immersed in the study of Chigago Blues, folk and traditional harmonica styles.

I play in the acoustic blues, country and rockabilly duo The High Hollers and also as a solo performer.

I've been accredited to teach beginning harmonica by master blues musician and instructor David Barrett.
